Brian Youngblood and James Blackford Certified Master HVACR Educators
HVAC Excellence is proud to
announce that the title of Certified Master HVACR instructor has
been conferred upon Brian Youngblood and James Blackford of the
Atlantic Vocational Center in Coconut Creek Florida. Certified
Master HVACR Educator is a series of credentialing exams that
verifies teachers are capable of teaching the competencies within
their curriculum. On the surface this seems fairly straight
forward and simple. However, students are taught English from
kindergarten through their senior year in high school, yet 70% of
college freshman take remedial English courses. A quality
education begins with quality instruction.
As a nation, we should hold our
teachers accountable to be leaders in their field. Educator
credentialing exams are a method of doing exactly that as they
terminal certifications that are more difficult to pass than
student assessments or technician certification exams. To earn the
status of Certified Master HVACR Educator, an instructor must
obtain a passing score of 80% or better on six area specific
Heating- Ventilation-Air Conditioning- Refrigeration (HVACR)
Certified Subject Matter Educator (CSME) exams. Additionally, the
instructor must pass the Brian Youngblood and James Blackford
Certified Master HVACR Educators Capstone exam which covers
technical education methodologies.
